Allen-Vanguard, the internal security specialist, is showcasing a range of its signature products at the 8th International Defence Exhibition and Conference, (IDEX) 2007.
The event, which is one of the largest and fastest growing defence exhibitions in the world, takes place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates between 18-22 February.
The products on show include the Defender and Vanguard™ MK2 ROVs, the full range of Hook and Line (HAL®) kits as well as search tools such as mirrors and the Merlin Contraband detectors. This equipment is critical to the defence sectors at a time when security teams face an unprecedented threat from terrorist activity.
The ROVs available include large and small scale robots for remote access, manipulation and the render-safe of both explosive and Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) dispersal devices. The extensive HAL® kits utilise semi-remote operating equipment for access and manipulation in high risk search and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) safety procedures. The search tools are useful for locating specified target items, or for proving their absence.
Roy Peers-Smith, managing director of Allen-Vanguard, explains: "IDEX is a highly significant event in the company's calendar. The international defence sector is a key audience for us, so this exhibition is the ideal place to meet and share knowledge with influential target groups."
"Our products are developed in close consultation with end-users in response to very stringent demands. We constantly strive to meet our customer's requirements, meaning innovation is ongoing and ever changing."
