AML-90 Modifications
This Panhard vehicle was first built for the French army at 1961. The vehicle serves as a command field vehicle and as a quick assault vehicle.
Due to parts and systems obsolescence and in order to lengthen the vehicle's life and improve its performances, it was decided to modify its systems with a modern design and integrate enhanced technologies and components.
The vehicle's power pack was replaced and dieselized, the steering and brake systems were redesigned to be power assisted, the old drum braking system was replaced with a new design of braking discs. A new convenient driver panel was also built.
The vehicle's capabilities and performances became much better, and the upgraded vehicle's fleet is expected to serve for at least another 20 years.
