AMRAAM - Section Level Replacement
In 1997 Danish Aerotech purchased the Advanced Missile Test System (AMTS) from Hughes Missile Systems Company. The AMTS makes it possible to faultisolate AMRAAM All-Up-Rounds and subsequently identify unservicable sections. With the AMTS combined with the experience of our technicians, Danish Aerotech possesses the most thorough test capability as well as failure diagnosis for AMRAAM outside of the USA available on a commercial basis.
Sidewinder - Life Cycle Maintenance
The US Navy strongly recommends that DSU-15 inventories that are ten years old enter a Life Cycle Maintenance (LCM) Programme . Danish Aerotech is the only commercial facility outside the US, certified by Raytheon Missile Systems, to handle Life Cycle Maintenance.
Danish Aerotech can perform LCM on all Sidewinder missiles presently in service worldwide. When LCM is performed, potentially unserviceable units will be identified and as such will give the customer an increased operational effectiveness of his Sidewinder weapons system.
LANTIRN - I-Level Maintenance
In cooperation with Lockheed-Martin, Danish Aerotech operates an I-level (intermediate) maintenance facility for LANTIRN pods. The facility consists of equipment making it possible for DA's technicians to energize and test the pod while situated on a test bench, allowing them to trouble shoot and fault isolate faulty pods. Any malfunctioning subunit is removed and replaced with a unit from DA's stock. The pods then go through an alignment and test process before being returned to the owner.
Danish Aerotech´s mobile test equipment can be shipped for customer on-site support. This drastically reduces the Turn Around Time in comparison to sending the missile to the OEM. It also provides some cost savings, mainly in transportation.
