ATM Demonstrator
The ATM demonstrator by SELEX Sistemi Integrati consists of an A-SMGCS (SAIL) and an Automatic Dependant Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B) system. SAIL, A-SMGCS Integrated solution by SELEX Sistemi Integrati, is a modular and flexible A-SMGCS suitable to a wide range of airports. The demonstrator shows one Tower/Ground Controller Position, deployed by SELEX Sistemi Integrati in Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa International Airports.
The SAIL Controller Working Position (CWP) provides an integrated presentation of airport surrounding airspace and surface traffic. Multilateration System installed in Malpensa relies on a network of ten ground stations, managing standard/extended squitters and on real-time replies.
The ATM demonstrator includes as well an ADS-B presentation, relevant to Rome Fiumicino Airport traffic. Recorded data are gathered trough an ADS-B 1090ES Ground Station (MXC) by SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a high performance ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast) Ground Station for en-route, terminal and airport surveillance applications, compliant with the 1090 MHz Mode-S Extended Squitter standard.
