Extended Air Defense
Air Defense has to consider numerous threats today: planes, helicopters, ballistic or strategic missiles, drones. These threats, of a very different nature, must be globally handled through a unique system of defense. It is this principle of "Extended Air Defense " that has guided the work of TRS for several years. The M3R, developed by TRS, is the future radar of extended Air Defense.
Interoperability
Whether in peace keeping, deploying troops to a hostile environment or protecting a nation's territory and citizens from air attack, resource coordination is essential. In modern military configurations, nothing is possible if the software systems of one cannot communicate with those of the other?
Interoperability is therefore crucial, whether between nations of a coalition, between national army, navy and air forces, even between civil and military air surveillance systems.
Because it benefits from a dual European and American culture, and because it is on the cutting-edge of systems integration, ThalesRaytheon-Systems is able to provide full interoperability solutions to its clients.
Deployability
The deployment of forces to outside theatres of operations is increasing. And they require more and more important accompanying: logistics, control and reassurance of the covered perimeter... For Air Defense, TRS proposes the best ground deployment solutions. Whether it is for the management of air missions (from 80 to 1,000 a day), the mastery of the aerospace environment, the planning of operations, the programming and the execution of complex air operations.
Homeland Security
Air Defense can no longer be conceived separately for civil and military problems. In light of the threats which press on the security of civilians, both aspects are inseparable. The protection of sensitive sites, assemblings of crowds or of cities has been an integral part of the offer of TRS. After September 11th, the company helped to provide the safety during the Super Bowl and Salt Lake City's winter Olympic Games in the United States.
