This is a proven state-of the art, 3D Long Range Radar System, available in two configurations specifically designed for fixed and mobile applications: FADR (Fixed Air Defence Radar) configuration and DADR (Deployable Air Defence Radar) configuration.
The RAT 31DL, operating in L band, belongs to the latest generation of 3D long range radar systems and has excellent capabilities in detecting and tracking low RF (Radio Frequency) signature aircraft and missiles. It is fully solid state and features an advanced architecture incorporating multiple independent and simultaneous pencil beams which provides military operators with outstanding levels of detection accuracy and performance.
The RAT 31DL has been developed to meet future defence needs, where information and command superiority will play increasingly vital roles. The RAT 31DL meets the latest NATO standards and has full NATO interoperability; furthermore, SELEX Sistemi Integrati has been selected by NATO to supply its Class 1 radars in recent tenders.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati signed a contract for 3 Fixed Air Defence, three-dimensional radar systems and related logistics support for the Polish Air Force. This contract followed the announcements for the acquisition of a total of 10 FADR systems by Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece and Turkey. Other similar radar systems have previously been ordered by the Malaysian, Danish and Austrian Air Forces.
Further proof of the superiority of SELEX Sistemi Integrati Air Defence Systems is the recent contract signed with the Bundesamtfür Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung (BWB), the Procurement department of the Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, to supply 2 Long Range 3D Mobile Radars (RAT 31 DL/M - DADR) to the German Air Force for air surveillance
