Close Protection Training - Selecting A New Career In The Specialist Security Industry
Since 1999 Clearwater have been at the forefront of new developments in The Specialist Security Industry.
Clearwater is a Specialist Company for Specialist people and we have set benchmarks in qualified Close Protection Training.
If you train with us, you will receive a University Qualification that will enable to you apply for a front line license in Close Protection Operations. This license will allow you to work legally in the United Kingdom; furthermore if you are interested in working in hostile environments on contracts that are connected with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office you will need this qualification.
In March 2006 it became the law that you must have a license to work in Front Line Close Protection in the UK, if you train with us (and pass) you will be able to apply for this license to the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Our training is approved by Buckinghamshire New University and we cover the following on our course.
- Introduction to the roles and responsibilities of the Close Protection Operative

Course Location
The course is held at our central base at Netley Hall just outside of Shrewsbury in Shropshire in the middle part of England. Our estate is a perfect learning environment, situated in 160 acres of prime Shropshire countryside. All accommodation is of a luxurious standard - all based at Netley Hall.
Course Length
The course is residential over two weeks and covers more than the minimum of 150 hours of training that is necessary to apply for a license.
Cost
The full cost of the course including accommodation, teaching and exam fees, all ancillaries including VAT is £2,495.00. footnote: Accommodation onsite is self catering.
Armed Forces & Resettlement
We are approved to offer resettlement training by the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) & we are approved by ELCAS for Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC's) - our ELC number is 3039.
