This is a compact IP-based desktop VPN encryption unit for use in smaller offices, in field offices, and for temporary deployments as a single-user unit or (in a routing environment) as a multi-user unit. Network access is all that is needed, e.g. via Ethernet or xDSL technology. The unit can be connected between PC/laptop and network access with cables, configured easily and put into operation immediately. Its high transmission rate of up to 10 Mbps also allows use for real-time applications involving large data throughput, such as video streaming or video conferencing.

Large data throughput and high operational security are the main priorities for network infrastructures at headquarters and corporate head offices. The HC-7825 IP VPN Encryption unit is the perfect solution to protect sensitive data and information in this situation.

It can be integrated directly into IT infrastructure using Ethernet interfaces (10/100 Mbps). With its large encryption capacity of up to 100 Mbps (Enterprise Version), the unit can establish up to 250 secure VPN tunnels. Each tunnel is encrypted with an independent key. That allows LANs and individual participants to be connected securely in point-to-point or in multipoint mode over unprotected public networks. This set up allows handling data communications over secure IP VPN, into the LAN at your headquarters or to a field office. The encryption output for data transfer amounts to 1, 4 or 8 Mbps and therefore accommodates all triple-play applications. Access to the units is protected by a strong password security mechanism.
