CBRN Decontamination Systems

KÄRCHER Futuretech is a worldwide leader in CBRN protection for both military and civilian applications. We provide a comprehensive system consisting of decontamination equipment (decon devices, modules and systems) and CBRN decon chemicals (C, B, RN decon agents).

Prompt and effective decontamination of persons, tanks and other vehicles, air and watercraft, personal weapons, clothing and equipment as well as sensitive material ensure the ability of the troop, civilian population, police, frontier guard, etc. to survive. According to the specific needs, KÄRCHER Futuretech offers customer-designed solutions ranging from decon systems in a container over decon modules to decon devices.

CBRN Decontamination Systems

TEP 90: “Safety First”; the Federal German Armed Forces will rely on 73 highly mobile, container-based, compact decontamination systems, the TEP 90 from KÄRCHER Futuretech, to defence against nuclear, biological and chemical dangers.

The TEP 90, a highly mobile containerised compact decontamination system, represents the state-of-the-art in this specific area with its most modern decontamination technologies and agents. The vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic crane to make the system ready for operation in short time without using external lifting equipment.

DECON SHUTTLE: Unique worldwide – mobile, independently operable decontamination sub-system for special tasks that can not be carried out in a basic system, e.g. decontamination of the interior of tanks, helicopters, aircraft or other installations.

CDS 1000 GDS: Frame-mounted, compact, fully equipped decontamination system for vehicles, material and personnel. The system is specially equipped for the newly developed GDS 2000 decontamination solution.

DECOCONTAIN 3000 GDS: Compact, independent high-performance decontamination system for universal use day and night under all climate conditions. The system represents the technical basis for the establishment of a complete decontamination site.

DSSM: The first mobile Decontamination System for Sensitive Material in the world is able to effectively and reliably decontaminate radioactively, disinfect and/or detoxify sensitive material and other material which can not be treated using other decontamination systems or methods.

Decontamination Modules

MPDS: The Multi-Purpose Decontamination System can be used universal either as an independent individual unit or incorporated in a complex decontamination system.

AMGDS 2000: Easy and convenient, fully automatic application system for the highly effective, non-aqueous GDS 2000 decontamination solution.

Decontamination Agents

The CBRN decontaminants are highly effective agents available for carrying out the rapid and effective radioactive, biological and chemical decontamination in the area of CBRN defence. Beside the high decontamination effect, they stand out due to a good material compatibility and biological degradability.

GDS 2000: A non-aqueous decontamination solution. It is intended for the quick and effective decontamination of all known chemical warfare agents; effective even on wet surfaces.

BDS 2000: A highly effective system against biological contamination on surfaces and interiors.

RDS 2000: The radioactive decontaminant is a concentrated decontamination agent consisting of two separate components for the production of an N decontamination agent which is used for the N decontamination of surfaces contaminated with radioactive particles.

Decontamination Devices

DS 10: Handy, portable pressure spray device with an integral mixer unit. To be used for the application of cleaning, disinfection or neutralizing agents.

Mediclean 2000 se: A decontamination device used for decontamination of injured persons who have come into contact with hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive materials. It works through simultaneous application and extraction of the decontamination solution.

Protective CRBN Clothing

Whether it is icy cold in Canada or oppressively hot in Malaysia, the KÄRCHER SAFEGUARD^TM protective suits are suitable for missions in all climatic zones. The protective CRBN clothing is air permeable so that the body heat stress is reduced to a minimum. Our CBRN protective textiles can be washed or decontaminated several times without losing their protection function, and can be stored for up to 15 years when packed air-tight.
