Armored Ambulances from IAG

Wherever there are violent conflicts, in particular Iraq and Afghanistan, conventional rules of engagement are often ignored and anybody can become a potential victim, including those who are there to help the injured, sick or wounded.

To help with this dilemma, International Armored Group manufactures a large variety of armored ambulances that are custom designed for the unique region the vehicle will be used in. These ambulances include the armored Ford F-350 ambulance, armored Ford F-550 ambulance, armored Toyota Landcruiser 78 ambulance, armored Toyota Hiace ambulance and armored Nissan Urvan ambulance, to name a few.

For use in more hostile terrain where off-road conditions are the norm, IAG offers the 4x4 armored Ford F-350 / F-550 ambulance and the armored Toyota Landcruiser 78 ambulance. The vehicles are typically protected up to level CEN B6/ NIJ level III in order to withstand powerful rifle and blast attacks.

To compensate for the added weight due to the armoring process, the entire suspension system and braking system are reinforced or completely replaced with a custom designed heavy duty system. This ensures that the vehicle will meet or exceed the level of ride comfort, handling characteristics and braking distances found in the base OEM vehicle.

Due to the advanced design of the armored structure and chassis components, the payload of each armored ambulance can match or even exceed  the OEM payload found in the standard, non-armored vehicle.

Toyota Hiace Ambulance /  Nissan Urvan Ambulance

For use in regions with a well developed road network where off-road capabilities are not a concern, IAG offers the armored Toyota Hiace ambulance and armored Nissan Urvan ambulance.  These vehicles tend to blend in better to their urban surroundings than their 4x4, off-road capable counterparts and maintain an outer appearance that is indistinguishable from the OEM vehicle. The same efforts are taken to upgrade the suspension and braking systems to ensure the vehicle maintains excellent ride quality, handling abilities and braking/stopping distances.

Armored Ambulance

Every armored ambulance comes with all the standard medical equipment as found in any well-appointed ambulance, including a full length, foldable four wheel stretcher with adjustable back rest and patient restraints, a secondary aluminum alloy foldable stretcher, comprehensive first aid kit, ceiling mounted IV tracks, electric portable suction pump, portable oxygen therapy kit, metal lockers for equipment storage, ventilator/resuscitator, defibrillator and other needed medical equipment.
