The 2683 Multi Function Display is the latest addition to the range of ruggedised airborne equipment manufactured by Britannia 2000. The Multi Function display will display either VGA or a PAL/NTSC composite video signal, switchable by a rotary knob on the bezel. An auto-sensing circuit detects the format of the video feed and automatically configures the display.

The ON/NIGHT /DAY control allows the operator to select a dim or bright master setting, which can then be adjusted with the BRIGHTNESS control. When the NVIS option is ordered, the NIGHT setting is NVIS compatible.

The 2683 Multi Function Display bezel contains 24 momentary push button switches, numbered 01-24, with tell back illumination, which can be NVIS compatible illumination if required. When pressed, each sends an instruction to the host processor via an RS232 interface. When released another instruction is sent. The host processor can also instruct each individual button to illuminate either constantly, flashing at 3Hz or at 7Hz. Software can be customised to meet a user’s individual needs
